Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy provides custom therapy for each patient to achieve their functional goals to return to their maximum level of independence. Hand Therapy is the specialty provided in this clinic.
Custom fabricated splints
Brit Therapy can custom fabricate upper extremity splints to fit the patient for maximum comfort and support during the healing process or to improve positioning of joints or improve joint stability for function.
Hand Therapy
The hand is a very complex tool that is paramount in our ability to function independently in the environment. Experienced therapists will evaluate and treat any hand injury or diagnosis that presents itself. There are years of experience and connections that will allow the best therapy and outcomes.
Hands on treatment , soft tissue massage, scar management, range of motion
The patient will treated with customized techniques according to the persons individual needs. Goals for therapy will be identified at the initial evaluation and addressed at subsequent clinic visits at a frequency that is prescribed by your physician.
Modalities available to speed your recovery
Brit Therapy have the most up to date equipment to assist in the recovery process by doing the following:
reducing edema, increasing oxygenated blood supply to aid with healing, decreasing pain.
Ultrasound, Electrical stimulation, TENS, cold laser, moist heat/ice, topical pain relief

Therapeutic exercise/ Home program training
A customized therapeutic exercise program will be provided so that the patient can continue the therapy goals in the clinic and at home to speed up the recovery process. Printed programs will be provided so that the patient can reference their program and have it upgraded as appropriate.
Physical Therapy services
Brit Therapy provides superior Physical Therapy services by experienced therapists.
A customized therapy program is made for each patient depending on their diagnosis, physician protocol and patient needs.
Home program training is provided for each patient and reviewed and upgraded as appropriate.
Vestibular Rehabilitation, joint replacement rehabilitation, pre and post surgical therapy , pain relief, range of motion, scar management , gait training, balance therapy and mobility training are some of the services that can be provided.

Gait training/ balance
Balance is the most important area to treat to ensure safe ambulation, prevent falls and allow maximum independence at home and in the community.
Adaptive equipment training and recommendations will be provided, balance rehabilitation and efficient and safe gait techniques taught and practiced in therapy.
